THE ROLE Milk Moovement is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to guide our team in developing and maintaining scalable enterprise SaaS applications that continue to revolutionize dairy and other agricultural industries. The Finance, Equity, and Balancing (FEB) team is tasked with three of the most important aspects to our platform, all working in tandem to ensure that the right people get paid the right amount on time. Balancing is the first step in the process. We provide tools so dairy teams can assess changes between pickups and drop-offs to ensure all values "balance" and are ready for pay. Finance covers all things financial that our supply chain needs from calculating payments to processing payments for everyone in the ecosystem and more. Finally, equity is focused on providing tools for our co-ops to manage equity and stocks of its members and making it easy to tie ownership into pay and cashing out in the future. As a Team Lead at Milk Moovement, you will be the sprint-driver, mentor, and lead to our FEB value stream, working closely with our VP of Engineering and product team to build performant, scalable, cloud native solutions to address customer and industry needs. Here are some other examples of things you will do: - Partner with design, product, and sales teams to define and deliver new products and features that enhance and modernize our finance and equity products - Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to your development team - Work on problems with your teams, roll up your sleeves, form an opinion, and advocate for engineering-specific roadmap items - Help your team deliver exceptional user experiences and establish clear definitions of successful deployments WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Milk Moovement seeks to have a diverse, inclusive, team-oriented, and curiosity driven herd. You will likely have had 3+ years of experience leading the end-to-end development of a product or service at an established or high-growth technology company, but prior dairy industry experience is not required! We will teach you all there is to know about the industry beginning with our dairy 101 course. It is definitely more complicated than you think and that is why we do what we do! Here’s what else we’re looking for: - Extensive experience with Node, React, TS/JS - 2+ years working with production workloads in AWS - Strong sense of empathy to care deeply about customer problems and user experience - Analytical thinking skills and a data-informed approach to decision-making - Curiosity and passion to constantly be learning; we change fast, and we need our team to be able to change and learn fast too - Experience assembling and maintaining a strong development team - A passion for mentoring both on your immediate team and in the larger engineering team - Previous experience in transportation, logistics, 3PL, or similar is a major plus PLEASE NOTE Job postings are what the ideal looks like.
